Finding that I am now able to do a bit more around the garden and house but have to pace myself carefully to avoid overdoing it .

Hi Belinda I am getting the same reaction from my GP in regards to my constant fatigue.

So yesterday I attended an appointment with my Thoracic physician, blood tests were all good, lung function test showed that my breathing has now come up to almost 70% which is good news. I have to undergo more tests in 4 months time, including a nuclear scan so find out if the clots have dispersed. Still no reference from the specialist to "long covid", beside the breathing issues I am finding that I am so suffering from fatigue. I read an article online that referenced PEMS, I had no idea what it was so did some online research and discovered this stands for Post Exertion Malaise. I'm not sure if this is a medical term or just another online term but it certainly describes how I feel most days after any small amount of exertion.

At 66 y/o I have been forced into retirement due to my levels of fatigue and my breathing difficulties, as a result I have had to sign on to centrelink. They have put me on jobseeker allowance and I have received 2X3 month sick notices from my GP which will take me through to early march. Centrelink will then want me to enroll with a disability job provider who will expect me to retrain and find work, 9months later I will be eligible for the age pension! I can't see any employer that is going to take me on considering this.

I am currently trying to learn video editing as I want to start a vlog about my newly enforced retirement.If I manage to get it up and running on youtube I will let you know, unfortunately like everything else in my life now it is a slow process but it gives me something to take my mind off of my symptoms.

Hi Khun I have also reached the 6 month mark and I am only seeing slight improvement n my condition, Glad to hear that you have no organ damage. I have been diagnosed with lung clotting. the fatigue is severe and debilitating as is the breathing issues. Have you been given a diagnosis of long covid? Non of the medical professionals that I have been to seem to want to use the term.

Hi All My name is Pete and I have been suffering ongoing fatigue and brain"fog" as well as severe breathing difficulties since my second bout of covid in July 2022 it has essentially forced me into early retirement. The most frustrating thing apart from the persistent symptoms is that non of the medical professionals will acknowledge it as covid related and non of them has used the term "long covid"
